1. Manifesto Vol. 1
This work was started based on thoughts I had after visiting the Venice Biennale this year. The title of this year's Venice Biennale was "Foreigners Everywhere" and it exhibited the work of more artists of color than ever before. However, I was a bit uncomfortable when I was there because I felt that they didn’t curate people of color artists they just invited them.
I'm not talking about only the Venice Biennale, sometime feel like many institutions, white curators, and critics don’t curate them just invite them. I feel similar in the biennale this year. So reflecting the Venice Biennale-
This work critiques the attitudes of museums, institutions, curators, and critics toward artists of color, while also addressing, from a critical perspective, artists of color who choose to objectify themselves to align with those perspectives.

I wanted to take a souvenir photo as a tourist in Venice with this banner. But I was a solo traveler, so I needed someone to take the photo. I booked a photographer through Airbnb. He is a photographer who mainly takes romantic photos for couples visiting Venice. Here are the photos and videos he took of me.

2. Catalogue Girl
"Catalogue girl" (Thaikone in Norwegian) is about the struggles and identity that I face as an Asian woman after moving to Norway, asking questions such as "Why are Asian women are being objectified?". To explore "Catalogue girl" I used AI-generated images of women alongside stereotypical images from Asian culture to highlight ethical and sensitive questions and reflections on what this tells us about people, identity, and the objectification of women.
I am planning to make "Catalogue Girl Pop-up Agency".
You can see the "Catalog Girl Project" work so far here.
